Expecting Toke to lead Morpeth at just a moderate tempo. HIGHLAND DANCER (10) couldn’t quite meet market expectation on debut but was strong late, surging to just miss. He’ll take natural improvement from that outing and should relish the rise in trip. Looks the one they’ll need to beat. TOKE (5) sets up well third-up with added fitness and should race handy. He’ll be poised to strike when they quicken. VELKA (6) has been around the mark in both runs back, is fitter now, and draws to advantage. Capable of giving this a real shake. MARKWELL MELODY (7) finds an easier assignment and should be peaking with three runs under her belt. A minor-hope with upside. MORPETH (4) struggled on debut, but the booking of Bullock is noteworthy. Sharp improvement wouldn’t shock. SUGGESTED PLAY: Highland Dancer to win.
