Without a great deal of early pace evident Aerostern Bro may lead the way over Carafe. TARTAN TIGER (9) worked home well into third without ever looking the winner on debut over 1200m at Wyong last start. Tackles a far easier maiden this time and the extra furlong looks perfect. Hard to tip against. IVY PRINCESS (7) made significant improvement last time out when lining up for the second time although she was safely held in a 1500m Goulburn maiden. Can improve further with that extra race experience on board. SPLENDID MAGNUS (8) was pushed along after a slow start to race handy then boxed on gamely to finish second recently over 1200m at Cowra. Plenty to like about that performance and another 200m should suit. One of the chief contenders. AEROSTERN BRO (1) has been freshened up since a mediocre effort over this course and distance five weeks ago. May have resented the blinkers on that occasion and they come off. Worth another chance. CARAFE (4) can improve over a bit more ground this afternoon. SUGGESTED PLAY: Tartan Tiger should be winning.
