Southbrook Flyer and Lightning Rage to apply plenty of early pressure over the sprint journey. SUNFYRE (10) has the 2kg claim of apprentice Olivia Webb coming off a last-start second in 1000m Mdn at Goondiwindi. This is likely tougher but she has raced twice here including a 1.7 length 4th in a Mdn and gets another chance to breakthrough here. BEANS MEANS (1) hasn't raced for more than two years but looked to trial well enough at Beaudesert recently and has drawn well. If he can produce what he showed last time at the races he can give this a shake. MEASURED (6) resumes for new stable. Placed in three of 10 starts in country Victoria including twice when fresh up so has to be respected here. RAPT IN PINK (8) should derive benefit from her debut 3rd at Gatton and is one to include in multiples. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sunfyre each-way.
