FATHER CHRISTMAS (1) was well in commission last time but ran below expectations when fourth and beaten 2.5 lengths over 1400m at Greyville. Has a strong record course and distance. Expected to go close. NEVER NEVER LAND (2) is back at the races for the first time since April 2. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last time in work over 1200m at Turffontein Inside. Best form is here and has placed fresh. AQUARIUS (5) has not appeared since she finished fourth over 1400m at Greyville on April 11. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race. OKLAHOMA SMOKESHOW (6) progressed nicely last time out to finish just half a length from the winner in third over 1450m at Turffontein Inside. Finds a nice race and can secure another top-three finish.
