Expecting Damascus Gate to set a genuine tempo after crossing from wide out. UNREAL EXPECTATION (3) was a long way back last start but hit the line well to finish fourth, only beaten a length over 1400m at Mudgee. Strips fitter third-up and will relish the rise in trip. Looks the one to beat. WEST HEAD (4) showed good early speed and raced on the pace last start before fading to finish fifth over the mile at Parkes. Peaking now on the quick back-up and keeps the claimer on to get him in well at the weights again. Bold showing anticipated. FEIMAZUO (8) doesn't win out of turn but is knocking on the door. The rise in trip suits third-up and she should be stalking them into it from a favourable draw. JASPER'S WAY (1) drove hard to score two back at Dubbo in what has proved a strong form reference. Was far from disgraced last time at Parkes, and only needs to hold his form to be competitive. CROWN LEGEND (10) has peaks that measure right up and is worth keeping safe.
