Just a modest tempo anticipated. ADIRA RIVER (5) clearly on top. Two runs back have been good for this, okay at Pakenham in a much deeper maiden first up, then finding the line strongly to just miss at Ararat last time, beaten a nose. Peaks now in a winnable affair and should justify favouritism. SAVVY NIGHTS (2) can run a cheeky race at odds. He was okay second up at Kilmore on heavy ground and should be peaking now with gear changes made. Doubt he gets too much pressure near the front either. FRESHWATER FOX (7) has also raced twice to date, through a stronger maiden at Seymour last time when battling on well. Consider. ISKADEEL (8) was well beaten in a strong Warrnambool maiden on debut but can improve sharply here. SUGGESTED PLAY: Adira River should be winning.
