Small field but a good tempo is expected with Roweiner's Dance, Midas Star and Gossip Torque pressing on. Former Victorian BLUE STRATUM (4) has looked handy since joining the new yard with two wins and a second from three local outings. Gets in on the minimum with the claim and looms as the hardest to toss against this line-up. ROWEINER'S DANCE (1) gets a stack of weight but is a 14-time winner around this circuit and doesn't know how to run a bad race. Another strong showing would not surprise. LA PETITE MAISON (8) was well in the betting at Bowen last start and didn't let backers down with a strong victory. In the mix. HELLISH (2) rounds out the selections in a race affected by a few key scratchings. SUGGESTED PLAY: Blue Stratum to win again.
