MR JOHN (5) was out of the money when resuming two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1600m at this track, beaten 5 lengths into fourth after being prominent at the turn. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. PERSEIDS (2) returns from a spell of six months and is having his first run for a new yard. Finished sixth at Kawasaki over 1400m when first-up last time in work. Rates highly so expect him to be prominent. GONZAGO (4) finished third last time over 1600m at this track, beaten 3 lengths. Likely improver with strong prospects. POISON NOIR (10) is having her first run since March 13. Has a very good fresh record, scoring two times including one over 1200m at this track at the start of last prep. Worth plenty of thought.
