METEOR MOTH (4) has been a beaten favourite in both starts at this circuit since a spell but was only edged out narrowly each time, coming from the back row to miss by a nose last start. He is two from two when third-up so should be peaking and gets his chance from a better draw. CRIME WRITER (8) comes off a good showing in the Mildura Cup last start, beaten 3.7 metres. That was his fourth successive placing and he should get a nice trail so can feature again. MY UNCLE STAN (5) has claims off a win from the back row here last month while NEW YORKER (10) is in the mix after turning in a good effort last start to finish third at this venue.
