Showed good ability as a juvenile, winning his first three starts before a placing in the G1 Breeders Crown. Must give him another chance. LOTUS LOUISE (7) won from a similar barrier when fresh then suffered his first defeat in five attempts here when runner up last time. Hard to knock his impressive strike rate. Major player. EZRA KAI (5) is a newcomer to the Hewitt yard and has looked progressive in Victoria, winning his past two starts. Can measure up. SAN JUAN MOUNTAIN (6) beat a few of these rivals in winning at odds last start, his second success from three starts at this venue since a spell. Must respect.
