KNEE DEEP (3) was a determined maiden winner last time out, scoring by 0.8 lengths as a hot favourite over 1600m at Pakenham. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Looks to have more upside than most in this. KISS MY ROCK (2) disappointed as a heavily-backed favourite last start but has been back to the jumpouts since and might be worth another chance now at peak fitness. NILE CROCODILE (14) has been freshened since finishing 11th over 1800m at Caulfield Heath. Fitness level should be good following a subsequent Mornington trial. Looks a nice set-up for SUGAR AND SWEET (4), who has been beaten less than a length in three runs this time when switching distances and looks ready for this trip now. SUGGESTED PLAY: Knee Deep to win.
