A race that is devoid of early speed and it is hard to nominate a leader. IMPACTICAL (4) goes on top. Two runs back from a spell have been solid, good in a strong maiden first up at Pakenham before a sound effort at Kilmore when perhaps looking for this trip. Gets to 1400m third up and profiles nicely. THE BOTANY FROG (8) is a danger. Three runs into his maiden campaign now, he was solid last time at Kilmore when in the market after getting too far back, suggesting this trip would suit him nicely now. He'll be hard to hold out. IMMORTAL ONE (9) has been given a 29-day freshen-up since finishing second at Horsham. Will strip fitter for a trial placing since and can figure. MALAWI MAN (5) improved second up but found a couple better over 1200m at Horsham, beaten 3.5 lengths. Place chance again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Impactical to win.
