Moderate pace with No More Romance rolling to the lead and setting the tempo.
MAGIC MERLIN (3) progressed nicely to win his maiden by half a length at Muswellbrook, and then was even more impressive when winning last time out at Scone, making it 2 wins on the bounce. An extra 400m is ideal, and the hat-trick beckons. AURORA EFFECT (7) gets back in the running, and has always been hitting the line strongly late. She had no luck at Gunnedah last start, and if the gaps come at the right time here, then she can have the last say. COTO DE CAZA (2) will find this much easier than any of his 4 starts this prep, and a form reversal is on the cards. Each way. CALZINO (6) has a sharp sprint when saved up, and he is in good form at the moment. Keep him safe. BONFIDELITY (4) will have Clayton Gallagher replacing an apprentice with a drop in class here, and she is worth including in all top 4 combos in an even contest. SUGGESTED PLAY: Magic Merlin can win this.
