Expecting Maroon Trick to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. TSURUMARU VIOLET (2) scored two runs back then was popular with punters last time but could only manage to finish seventh over the same trip at this track. Nicely placed to turn things around. MAROON TRICK (5) turned in a modest performance when eighth last time out over 1400m at this track after being in contention on the bend. That followed a win at this track at the previous outing. Well placed and there is no reason she cannot make amends. GOLD MOTION (3) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1600m at this track, finishing seventh after being prominent at the turn. Meets a stronger field but he is worth another chance. PERLES CELESTES (7) best of the rest.
