Garcon Manque and Midnight Gale can be prominent. MIDNIGHT GALE (4) got the prize two runs ago at this track. Couldn't follow that up last time out when third over 1000m at this track, after being in the firing line on the turn. Suitably placed so anticipating a better run this time. TREVENA (2) found plenty to salute by 1.5 lengths three runs back at this track before filling a minor placing at her last two starts. Ryu Abe has won when aboard in the past and gets the ride again. Well placed and should be in the finish. GARCON MANQUE (7) has returned in good order this preparation. Opened with a second at this track two starts back then landed the prize by half a length last time out over 1000m at this track. Yuji Iwahashi scored on her last time and retains the mount. This looks a sterner test than last time but on current form she is good enough to take this out. LAST BORN (6) ran below his best when finishing fifth from a wide draw over today's course and distance. Among the better chances.
