Anticipating good pressure with many of these at the races for the first time. SIMBA'S PRIDE (1) finished second, beaten a head, over 1000m at Toowoomba on debut four months ago and has been kept under wraps since. Has a wide gate to overcome but can return in winning form. HUSSON'S TREASURE (3) is a maiden galloper resuming from a spell after finishing seventh over 1100m at Gatton at the latest appearance on July 10. Looks to be in good order following a recent trial win and is right in this contest. LIRA (9) showed good early speed and raced on the pace when first-up after a spell last start before fading to finish seventh, beaten 14 lengths, over 1000m at Sunshine Coast. Solid top-three claims against this line-up. FOXTROTTING (4) is a first-starter by Foxwedge who was an AUD $800 (Inglis 2026 February (Early) Online Sale) purchase. Ran seventh in a trial at Gold Coast over 1000m. Watch for any market confidence. SUGGESTED PLAY: Simba's Pride to shed the maiden tag.
