This easier than recent starts. Nicely placed to put the record straight. VAANS SPIRIT (6) faced the starter for the first time and finished sixth last start at Scottsville over 1200m, beaten 6 lengths. Got back but ran on hard on debut. Better for the run and can improve sharply. FUTURE PROSPECT (4) is a four-start maiden who returned last time and finished tenth at Scottsville over 1200m, beaten 7 lengths. Will derive great benefit from that outing and deserves consideration. CALI BULLET (8) was beaten 5 lengths into fourth in a 1600m contest at this track three-and-a-half weeks ago. Better than recent efforts suggest.
