No place for the faint-hearted with Tea Five and Modernize Queen getting along early. CLOSE YOUR EYES (11) is back at the races for the first time since January 12. Worth noting she filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last time in work over 1700m at Sapporo Dirt. Rates highly and should take some beating. TEA FIVE (5) resumes after a break of three-and-a-half months. Opened last prep with a second at this track over 1500m. Goes well at the start of his campaigns and best figures should see him run well. SHONEN JIDAI (10) did a great job to score by 2.5 lengths over today's course and distance last start in a much improved run. Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is right in contention. ODENSHITA (9) turned in a nice effort to score two runs ago but was not as effective last time out when 11th over 1600m at Kawasaki. In contention this time.
