Strong early tempo with Marino Lilian, Green Orb and Secret Gear matching motors ahead of Beckenbauer and Kumbhakarna. MARINO LILIAN (4) took advantage of the good draw last start and led for much of the way before finishing second, beaten a neck here. Sure to go well. KUMBHAKARNA (8) improved sharply on her eighth two starts back at this track with a win over 1300m at this track four weeks ago. It doesn't get any easier but on her best form she is one of the chief contenders. GREEN ORB (3) didn't fire at this track last time out when in the market. That followed a good second the run prior. Nicely placed to bounce back. BOLD ROY (1) was safely held last start when fifth at this track and distance after jumping from a wide gate. A better showing is expected.
