1 12:42 Returned & Services League Maiden Plate 1722m
Just an even tempo anticipated. THERMODYNAMIC (2) was racing in Sydney last year before switching to the local Bain/Taylor yard where he made a bright start from his new quarters with a narrow defeat here just over 2 weeks ago. He will strip fitter and relish the extra furlong on offer. Even from a wide gate, he is the one to beat. STARTS NOW (5) made up a lot of ground to finish fifth on debut at Murray Bridge and he is bred to improve with more ground. He is straight up to a middle-distance and won't be in this grade for long. KEMI (1) has been battling to win a race for some time and ran his best race in a while when third at Oakbank last start. He was tried in front that day and may try similar tactics here. Stick with him for all combinations. DETORON (6) is stepping up to a trip past a mile for the first time and would only have to repeat her effort for third at Murray Bridge two starts back to be a place chance in this. Include.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Thermodynamic to win.
2 01:17 Andrew Russell Veteran Living Maiden Plate 1200m
Not expecting them to go too hard with a lack of pace evident. VALIEVA (11) ran on well to finish third fresh up on this track just over a fortnight ago, finishing 4 lengths behind the winner that day. She strips fitter and in a field without much depth, she is the one to beat. MORRIS MINOR (4) has been running on late in both of his starts this prep and cops an improved draw third up. He has the blinkers on for the first time which will keep him focused early on and he is ready to put his best hoof forward in this. WE'VE GOTTA DEEL (7) was back in form with a second-place finish at Bordertown 11 days ago. He was an easy trial winner before that and his first win is not far away. Stick with him.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Valieva to win.
3 01:52 We Will Remember Them Maiden Plate 1200m
Pace on from the outset with Shampas and Six Stars going forward ahead of Nicish. SIX STARS (5) was showing promise last spring during his initial campaign and was a solid fourth as favourite when resuming here just over a fortnight ago. He can secure the run of the race early from the perfect inside draw and with the natural improvement that is expected second up, he is the one to beat. Follow your money. NICISH (11) is heading the right way and will peaking her fitness third up. She only needs a change of racing luck after copping a run of bad draws and is capable of taking this out. TARA RANI (14) ran the race of an improver when finishing third at Clare nearly 4 weeks ago. She is a progressive type who can figure in the finish again.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Six Stars.
4 02:27 The Gallipoli Memorial Trophy Benchmark 56 Handicap 2118m
Bugatti Gold to take the lead and control the tempo. RED SEQUOIA (3) has raced his way into peak fitness and was making up a lot of ground in the home stretch when finishing runner-up at Balaklava 8 days ago. He is normally very competitive in this grade when he hits his form and he has his best chance in a while to win a race. On top. LEADER'S PRIDE (8) has needed all 3 of his runs back from a spell this prep and has also had a trial since his last run here just over 2 weeks ago. The step up in trip is ideal and he is poised to put his best hoof forward in this. THINK TANK (1) does get back in the field but then does normally run on strongly. He needs the right tempo to be effective but this field is not strong and a win would not be a big surprise. ZOFFANY ROCKET (5) is a capable veteran who has lost none of his zest for racing and was only a nose off making it 2 wins on the bounce here last time out. He has drawn the pole position and another honest effort can be expected. Each-way.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Leader's Pride each-way.
5 03:02 INTERFET Timor 25 Years Benchmark 58 Handicap (Heat of Provincial Pathways Series) 1722m
Solid pace likely with Pandarus prominent along with Run And Tell crossing from an outside gate. RUN AND TELL (6) is getting fitter with each run back from a spell and was only run down late here last time out after making most of the early running. He won't mind the extra furlong and will be the one to peg back again. ENCIPHERING (9) has been thereabouts in tougher fields than this and he should notice the drop down in class for this. It is only the wide gate that prevents him from being the top pick but he will still be very hard to beat with the right run. CAPRICORN RIDGE (1) is a handy gelding who is normally at is best at this level. He is improving with each run back from a spell and is capable of a top-three finish in this. ESKY (2) left the Chris Waller stable last year and is having is first run for the local Bain/Taylor stable. He has had 3 trials to help prepare for his return and will be ready to rumble fresh up. The markets will be your best guide to his chances.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Enciphering each-way.
6 03:37 RSL Care SA Benchmark 56 Handicap 1200m
Famous Knight and Nisko Tu to take up the running at a decent tempo. FOURTH POWER (1) has opened this prep with a couple of soft wins at Clare against questionable company but could do no more than win. He will find this tougher and has to carry 3 kilos more but is a progressive type who is ready to win again. BASE OF FIRE (3) capped off an improving formline with a courageous win by a nose here last start. He won't find this much harder and is a winning chance again. SET ON YOU (10) was runner-up in a stronger field at Morphettville-Parks when resuming and will only be sharper second up. The winkers are back on and she is good enough to overcome a wide gate and go one better in this.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Fourth Power.
7 04:12 Sportsbet Get on Now Benchmark 56 Handicap 1200m
Important Product and Chef De Mission to battle for the early lead at a slick tempo. THEBIGSOSSO (5) has been in good form this prep and was only beaten by a nose at Oakbank last start after racing handy to the pace that day. He should settle near the early speed again from a handy gate in this and is nicely poised to go one better. IMPORTANT PRODUCT (1) will be peaking third-up after a couple of decent efforts at Morphettville Parks to open this current campaign. He slides down a class and would have been the top pick had he drawn a decent gate. Shayne Cahill takes the reins and he could make all the difference where it matters most. LITTLE RICH BOY (8) has a good record on this track and is normally not far away at this level. He was a beaten favourite last time out at Bordertown and can make amends with an upgrade in draws here. Stick with him on an each-way basis. TAN TAT BEAU (2) has won both of his career races on his home track here and has also not missed a cheque in four fresh-up runs in the past. He will be ready to rumble after a couple of lead-up trials.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Important Product each-way.
8 04:47 Western Front 1916 Rating 0 - 62 Handicap (Heat of Adelaide in Autumn Series) 1511m
Just an even tempo anticipated. SAN LUCIDO (4) was a comfortable winner the last time he visited this course in January and his 3 starts since then have all had merit in tougher fields at Morphettville Parks. He was running on powerfully late over 1250 metres last time out and the extra furlong here is ideal. If the gaps come at the right time, he should be hard to beat. RUBINI (8) took his time to reach full-fitness this prep but put it all together last time out when scoring by a neck. He is up 4 kilos in weight this time but does slide back a grade and he can win again. IMPOSING SUSPECT (3) is a very capable gelding on his day and he took his record to 3 wins on this track from only 4 starts when he was successful here just over a fortnight ago. He is just as sharp second up and with the aid of a 2 kilo claim, he can double the dose. SANTELMO FUEGO (5) is a tough veteran who is still very competitive at this level. He normally hits his straps third up and with a drop back in class he can figure in the finish.  SUGGESTED PLAY: San Lucido to win.
