LIGHTMEUPJAZZ (9) resumes and is up to this if presented forward. Has the blinkers on for the first time and Newitt's booking suggests she's pleasing. SIENA WOLF (11) has the blinkers on the first time and has trialled well here for this. Has residual fitness and should go well. Solid pace from Mikazuki and Havlicek fending off pressure from other on-pacers engaged. PINANDI (13) is an improver from the Trinder yard. Went well first up and the mile will be right up his alley. Newitt is on the for apprentice. MR ROUQUIN (5) peaks and is better the the form line suggests. Has the rail and stepping up to the mile suits. Each way. MYSTIC HOPE (6) won this grade at Launceston and held that figure there following. Races well here and is a chance to bounce. FLIGHT READY (2) has been knocking on the door. Strong early tempo with Stars In The Night and Thoros Of Myr to lead the way over Hypercube and Positive Press. THOROS OF MYR (1) resumes and is another decent hope for the Trinder yard. Has raced well in stronger and has trialled well for the return. Has the rail and can get back on track. BLUFF POINT (2) led first-up and was an easy Maiden winner here first-up as expected. The former Victorian has more to offer. Fitter looks capable of taking the next step. STARS IN THE NIGHT (9) is a leader who is up to this if presented forward. Is still a Maiden but carries a feather and can control the race from the low barrier. Has won a trial here leading into this. SWOOPING EAGLE (4) won a Maiden at Hobart two back and has placed her only run here. Has been freshened and winning rider Newitt is reunited. Keep safe. SUGGESTED PLAY: Thoros Of Myr if the betting suggests stable confidence. |

Has won 3/4 this course and distance and draws to advantage can add to that record. BAO BUN (13) resumed on the turf in good order and has more up the sleeve. The outside gate makes it tougher but she does possess enough early speed to position forward. POWER MAGNUM (12) is back in grade and has been knocking on the door. Likes it here and keeps the handy 3kg claim. MANDATE (9) also draws wide but can skip across and also keeps a 3kg claim. Placed on the turf the latest and can build on that. Cracking early tempo with Muscle Up and Seydoux leading the way. SEYDOUX (2) has won three of his last four and delivered by a space at Launceston last start heavily bet. Has the handy 3kg claim and had won 3/4 this track/distance. He can go right on with it. Stablemate GALLANT WARRIORS (4) narrowly missed the hat trick at Launceston at a short quote improving his figures. A live chance but may be found out coming back to the shorter sprint. From the same stable MUSCLE UP (1) is knocking on the door but has to manage the shorter sprint also. THE SPIRIT OF ZERO (6) is an improver who can't be ignored. SUGGESTED PLAY: With Seydoux. |

Keeps Newitt and maps for the run of the race. He can go on with it. TRICKY MIKKI (9) rates similarly on the CL1 win on the turf. Uses the low gate and has won and placed three times here. The 3kg claim brings here right into it again. BORN A WINNER (8) spiked his figures here when narrowly beaten behind BANKROLL BENNY. The barrier is awkward but he can't be ruled out on that effort.
