NUM TIME COMMENT
1 02:14 Happy Birthday Sara Handicap 1200m
Bold Tropic, Flash Fiorente and Lamoree to battle for the early lead at a slick tempo.  BOLD TROPIC (1) was back in winning form in a similar field here just over a fortnight ago and should not have any problem coping with an extra 3 kilos this time. He will only be sharper third up and he is the one to beat again. ALTAR BOY (4) has not won for some time and had been thereabouts this year when racing in Queensland. He is 6 weeks between runs and has the blinkers back on for his local debut for a new trainer. A 3 kilo claim will help him and he is right in this. Watch the markets closely. LAMOREE (6) finds it hard to win and has finished runner-up in 4 of his 6 starts this prep. Her saddle slipped last start which did not help her cause and no one will begrudge her a win in this. BECQUEREL (11) ran on late in his first start in the area after making the move from Victoria earlier in the year. He will be better for the run and even though he is only a maiden, he is capable of a top-three finish. Each way.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Becquerel each way.
2 02:44 Welcome New Committee Handicap 1100m
Fast pace assured with Protostar, Quanapirri Bay and Hello Carol leading the charge.  PROTOSTAR (1) has started favourite in all of his 5 starts since moving to this area from NSW and was a winner 3 starts back in a similar field by a head. He was beaten by a wide gate last time out and can put things right from a superior draw this time, especially with the aid of a 3-kilo claim. Follow your money. EASTSIDE DIAMOND (5) was sent for a spell after a mediocre effort here in February. Her form before that was rock-solid and a freshen-up was exactly what she needed. Her only career win has come first up and she will be hard to beat in this. QUANAPIRRI BAY (3) stuck to his task gamely last start and has been thereabouts in all of his runs in this campaign. Another honest effort is likely. DANNY WHIZZBANG (10) is still a maiden and has raced his way into form this prep with a couple of handy placings recently. He is well-placed at the weights with after a 3-kilo claim and should be right in the finish again at a decent each-way price.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Protostar to win.
3 03:16 Ladbrokes Easy Form Handicap 1100m
Hot pace certain with Garrucha, Strike Eagle and Arrogant Miss keen to take up the running.  GARRUCHA (1) delivered the goods as favourite here just over 4 weeks ago and a brief freshen-up will do him no harm. He is at his best over this trip and with only 1.5 kilos more to carry this time, he should make it 2 wins on the bounce. SUPER FAMOUS (3) was a brave third in a tougher field last time out and even though there were only 4 other rivals, he was still less than a length from the winner. That was his first run back on this track after campaigning further South this prep and he will be better for it. Stick with him. Can win. ARROGANT MISS (4) is a tough local mare who pretty much does all her racing on her home track. She is normally at her most competitive at this level and with the aid of a 3-kilo claim, she is perfectly placed to bounce straight back into the winners' circle here. STRIKE EAGLE (2) has yet to win in 9 starts on this track but has been placed on 8 of those occasions. His form is holding and he will give another honest account of himself.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Garrucha to win.
4 03:51 Emmie Wehr Memorial Handicap 1400m
Hot tempo expected with Great Buy, That's Justified and Desert Lass heading the charge.  KICKATORP (4) built strongly to a well-deserved win here just over a fortnight ago. He won't find this any harder and gets to carry the same weight. He is having another crack at 1400 metres and with a soft time in front or close to the pace, he will be hard to beat again. DESERT LASS (3) kicked strongly after hitting the front in the home stretch last start and went down fighting, finishing runner-up in a far stronger field. Her record over this trip is strong and she can go one better this time. THAT'S JUSTIFIED (2) is a wonderful veteran who recorded win number 21 on this course when winning a 2-horse race last time out by half the length of the home straight. He can never be ruled out here. FLYING YISHU (5) is back to his best with a brace of wins most recently in lesser company. He is beautifully placed at the weights after a 3 kilo claim and a hat-trick is not beyond him.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Desert Lass each way.
5 04:26 Red Centre Technology Partners Handicap 1600m
Plenty pressure expected in what will be a truly-run mile.  MIRACOLI (7) was back to his with an effortless win here 4 weeks ago by over 5 lengths. He has thrived since joining the Gary Clarke stable earlier in the season and is having his third run for him here. This is not much harder and a repeat of that last run would make him the one to beat again. VALLEY PRINCE (3) has raced his way into full fitness and was not far away when running third here just over 2 weeks ago. He will cope with the mile better than most and is quite capable of taking this out. MACER'S RAZOR (5) won his maiden 4 starts back and was good enough to pick up another win in his penultimate start. He ran on late when finishing fourth last start and has 2.5 kilos less to carry this time. Stick with him on an each-way basis. PRINCESS PANCAKES (6) capped off some strong form with a well-deserved win last time out by a length. She was runner-up over this trip before that and should be right in the finish here.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Miracoli to win.
