RACING RETURNS TO NORTHAM MAIDEN 1100m
Good early pressure for top spot with The Good Harv or Deep Discretion likely to take up the running. DEEP DISCRETION (9) was only 1.2L off the winner at Pinjarra last time out and looks to have found a suitable event today. That rating is clear on what his rivals have done and he should get every chance from a favourable alley. He's the one to beat. THE GOOD HARV (7) led them up at Albany and was collared late, finishing 2.8L off the winner. He gets a slight rise in trip today and the addition of Chris Parnham reads well. Expecting improvement as he steps out for his third start. SECRICITY (10) was 100-1 at Pinjarra last time out but wasn't far behind Deep Discretion at the finish of that event. She now gets a much better barrier and the blinkers on first time. Can be in the finish today. MR UNIVERSE (1) was plain on debut last November but has trialled well leading into his first-up effort. Include. SECOND LANDING (8) hasn't been to the races since November 2022 but should be fitter for a recent trial. Best efforts from his last campaign read well for this. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Deep Discretion. |

BOULEVARD FINE JEWELLERY MAIDEN 1300m
There should be a bit of early pressure with Royale Muck Up and Almaya going forward in advance of I'm Nipote and Martos Cob. LUNCH IN PARIS (12) jumped favourite at Pinjarra last time out and wasn't far away, beaten just 1.4L. This looks an easier race on paper and she should be hitting her peak now third-up into the campaign. Wide draw is a concern, but she is the one to beat with improvement expected. IMPOSSIBLE DREAM (10) was just 1L away on April, 24th when in the market at Pinjarra and also hits this race third-up. She's proven she can run on strongly from the back, which is expected of her today from the wide alley. Watch for her flashing late. LIPS DON'T LIE (9) is better than she showed last time out and the slight drop in trip looks to suit. Gets a big push with Pike hopping in the saddle and the blinkers go back on. Live chance. ROYALE MUCK UP (5) had claims off a solid effort at Pinjarra last time out and the drop in trip may suit. ONE ABOVE ALL (6) gets the blinkers on and Chris Parnham in the saddle. Improvement is expected. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Lunch In Paris. |

AFGRI EQUIPMENT NORTHAM MAIDEN 1600m
Moderate tempo with Percussion Prince leading the way. PERCUSSION PRINCE (1) only just missed at Pinjarra last time out and steps out to the mile for the first time. Should be prominent from the outset and Steve Parnham remaining in the saddle is a positive sign. Finds a very suitable race and just has to run up to his last start effort to be winning SNIP OF GOSSIP (2) hits this third-up after finishing 3.1L away as favourite at Pinjarra last time out. Now out to the mile for the first time, he is trending the right way coming into this. Can make his presence felt. FULL OF LIFE (10) ran on strongly over this trip at Pinjarra and looks to have plenty of upside. She's likely to get back from the draw once again, but if the pace is on up front she'll be storming home late in the race. LIEN HYPHEN (8) drops back to this trip after being well beaten in recent efforts and is not to be discounted. DESERT EDGE (4) can improve out in trip with Parnham hopping in the irons. SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on Percussion Prince. |

Kiralui to take up the running with Royal Splendour and Lord Randolph close at hand. LORD RANDOLPH (6) remains at the mile after a strong first-up effort at Pinjarra, beaten just 0.7L. He's 682 days between wins, but he gets William Pike in the saddle now from an ideal draw. Like the fact he's staying at this trip second up and with improvement expected, he'll take plenty of beating. HE'S ARCHIE (2) steps out to the mile again on the back of a good effort at Ascot on Wednesday where he was only beaten 1.5L. Needs to handle the quick turnaround, but he'll be right in the finish if he can hold his form. KIRALUI (3) looks ready for this trip now with three runs under her belt this campaign. She stuck on well over 1400m at Ascot most recently and is sure to be prominent from the outset again. MR BLING (1) looks ready to peak now third-up and won't be far away. ROYAL SPLENDOUR (4) is ticking along nicely this campaign and should get her chance out to this trip now. SUGGESTED PLAY: Lord Randolph can get the job done. |

Expecting Jack In The Black to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. FIOREYES (2) sprinted up like he'd play a role at Albany last start but peaked on the run late and tired. May need some luck from the wide draw but his prior form says he should be right in the finish of this. Expecting him to bounce back as he drops in distance. FLASH DUCATI (4) has been running in some good form races and the bar plates coming off is a big tick. He's a winner in soft conditions previously and he's likely to put his best foot forward. MYSTICAL MAN (5) drops in weight and has claims after a solid run at Geraldton last start. SUGGESTED PLAY: Fioreyes goes on top. |

Mood Swings can work over from a wide gate to lead. The feature of the day and WESTERN EMPIRE (11) goes on top after a blistering return to the West. He was probably unlucky not to have won, but nobody missed him savaging the line late in the race. Can settle a touch closer from the alley this time with Pike remaining in the saddle. He's the one to beat. SALOON BAR (13) was super in The Quokka despite being 80-1 there, beaten just 1.7L. Chris Parnham hops in the saddle now and stepping out to this trip doesn't appear an issue. Big chance if he can run up to his last start figures. COMFORT ME (12) hasn't won for 911 days now but showed positive signs in The Joey last start and boasts a strong third-up record. Drawn ideally for Watson and he's sure to put his best foot forward. SUPER SMINK (14) was never a chance in The Quokka but she's deserving of another chance. Can bounce back. TRIPLE MISSILE (4) can be running over the top of them late if the pace is on. SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on Western Empire. |

A slick tempo on the cards with Kelvin and Little Silver battling for the lead ahead of Falcon Trader and Bandalera Miss. Good race to end the day. SHE'S IMMINENT (6) is progressing nicely and was only 1.3L away at Ascot most recently. This is tougher, but she rates well on that effort with a drop in weight and she's a course and distance winner previously. Looks set for this she'll be hard to beat with a new peak figure expected. LITTLE SILVER (3) ended up 2.6L away when first-up from a spell at Ascot 10 days ago, peaking on the run late in the race. Improvement is expected now and he's bound to get every possible from barrier 1. Sure to make his presence felt. FALCON TRADER (2) is better than she showed last time out and should appreciate getting into this easier race on paper. Still a progressive type with improvement to come, and he brings 'real form' into the event. Can put his best foot forward. PLATINUM SHOT (7) is never far away and is sure to be about the finish once again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing She's Imminent in the last. |
