NUM TIME COMMENT
1 01:05 TAB QTIS Two-Year-Old Maiden Plate 1000m
Tricky one to map with a large contingent of first starters but expect plenty of early pressure. BANK BOOK (6) sat three-wide and did a pretty good job to stick on for fifth in the Magic Millions The Debut 2YO Fillies Plate in her only start in January. Resumes and with that race experience she can make her presence felt in this small field. NOT SURPRISED (8) creates plenty of interest on debut for the Anthony and Sam Freedman stable. No official barrier trials but she has looked good in Victorian jump-outs including winning a recent jump-out at Balnarring. Would be no shock at all to see her make a winning debut here. BUTWEDID (2) has race experience on his side having finished 3rd of 4 in Listed Phelan Ready Stakes on debut before resuming with a 7th in 1000m 2YO Hcp at Eagle Farm on March 24. SAINT VINCENT (4) can show up on debut off the back of a second in a Doomben barrier trial last month.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Bank Book.
2 01:40 VILI'S FAMILY BAKERY QTIS Three-Year-Old BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1000m
The speedy Platinum Lies should find the front with Bohemian Lad and Missile One on her heels. BOHEMIAN LAD (1) has two wins and a second from three starts and resumes here for first start since scoring a comfortable 2-length victory in Sunshine Coast 3yo Bm62 over 1000m on February 4 as short-priced favourite. Expect him to be extremely hard to beat again. MALTALI (3) has struck winning form with a maiden victory at Gatton followed by a last-start success over 1000m in a C1 at Sunshine Coast. Watch for him to be finishing well and he is capable of figuring in the finish again. PLATINUM LIES (4) is racing well and should press forward and give a good sight again. MISSILE ONE (6) broke through for a maiden win last start and can go on with it here with another bold showing.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Bohemian Lad on top.
3 02:15 LIEBKE BUILDERS Maiden Plate 1100m
Fleur De Vie has good early speed and can set a decent tempo. WILLABELLE (12) is a full-sister to multiple stakes winner Williamsburg being by Snitzel out of Fenway. First start for new stable after two unplaced runs in NSW earlier this year. Trialled nicely when 3rd in 1000m Sunshine Coast trial on April 30 and gets in nicely with 1.5kg claim for apprentice Cody Collis. Anticipating a good fresh run in a winnable race. CRYPTO KING (2) gets in nicely with 3kg claim of apprentice Shania Willis and is in the mix from a good draw off recent runs including last-start 4th in a 1000m Mdn at this track. FLEUR DE VIE (6) was unplaced at Toowoomba last start but has to be considered off two runner-up finishes at Beaudesert and Ipswich before that.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Willabelle.
4 02:50 SANDSTONE OVER 50'S Class 3 Plate 1400m
Denied has good early speed and can set a decent tempo. DENIED (7) did a bit of work from a wide draw then faded in the straight when unplaced at Eagle Farm last start but before that led and won as a short-priced favourite in Class 1 over this course and distance. Drawn nicely and looks well-placed to give this a shake. PRICE COST (5) is coming off two-straight wins and from a good draw can make his presence felt. QUADRI (8) was well beaten last start but prior to that was fourth at Doomben in 1350m Class 2 and has claims on best form. NIGHTSTICK (3) wasn't beaten far in town last start and before that was a winner this course and distance. Should run well again here.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Happy to go with Denied.
5 03:29 ALL ASPECT SPRAYING Maiden Handicap 1400m
The Merchant and Kidston can work across and set the tempo.  JOHN'S ROAD (3) is only lightly raced and strikes a winnable race here. Finished 9th of 13 in 1200m Sunshine Coast Mdn first-up this campaign but wasn't beaten that far and was tightened for room near the 200m. Has finished a close 3rd in a 1000m barrier trial at the Sunshine Coast since then and has drawn well here. Looks a good chance. THE BEST BAD BOY (8) was beaten less than 2.5 lengths when 5th in Beaudesert 1400m Mdn last start and is in the mix here. CHERBOURG (6) has been racing well this preparation with three placings from four starts. Closed the race off nicely for 3rd 1050m 3YO Mdn Gold Coast Poly track last week and looks a genuine chance of breaking through for a win here. BUBBLES 'N' SPEAK (11) finished fourth at a big price over this course and distance two starts ago and has drawn nicely here. KIDSTON (4) is only lightly raced and could be one for multiples.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with John's Road
6 04:07 CELLAR MAINTENANCE AUSTRALIA BENCHMARK 62 Handicap 2000m
Aces Up should be able to comfortably find the front. ENTERPRISE LASSIE (6) has been racing well this preparation with three second placings from four starts. Only narrowly beaten last start when 2nd in 1800m Class 3 at Sunshine Coast. Likes this track and has drawn well to get every chance to run out the 2000m. COME ON EILEEN (8) was 5th in 2000m Bm58 at Toowoomba last start. Each-way chance if she strikes her best form. FAST LADY (7) is in winning form with victories at Gatton and Toowoomba in her past two starts and she is worth including again. TAVISTORM (2) worked home for 5th in Sunshine Coast 1800m Class 3 last start and can run well from a good draw with Michael Rodd aboard.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Enterprise Lassie on top.
7 04:41 COASTAL VEHICLE SOLUTIONS BENCHMARK 62 Handicap 1000m
A strong tempo from Ready To Torque and Kwik Az Hell pressing forward along with Mister Monaro from a wide gate.  READY TO TORQUE (4) is back from a let-up after putting together two-straight wins over this course and distance in March. Has drawn nicely and has plenty of speed. Expect her to prove hard to beat. AIRSTRIKE (10) was well beaten last start at Ipswich but has since trialled nicely for second on the Gold Coast Poly track over 1050m on April 23. Hasn't won for a while but has some handy city form in the past year and at his best can figure here. ROMAN REIGN (8) has each-way claims, coming off a last-start 5th in Sunshine Coast 1000m Bm65 while before that she was a winner at Gatton. DEEP MYSTIQUE (11) covered ground on the pace before fading for fifth in 800m Class 1 at Ipswich first-up. Only lightly raced and from a better draw she could improve here. ENTERPRISE LUCIA (5) in now in the Stuart Kendrick stable and resumes here for first start since winning Grafton Class 1 in November. Has two wins and three placings from eight starts so must be respected.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Ready To Torque to win
8 05:15 MEGALEC PTY LTD BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1100m
Jungle Fever possesses good early speed and is likely to be up front. TORQUE BOSSANOVA (3) got going late when finishing 6th of 8 in 1000m Bm58 at this track on March 15. That was only his second start and first since winning a maiden at the Sunshine Coast in March 2023. Open to improvement in second run from a lengthy lay-off and from a decent draw he can make his presence felt here. JUNGLE FEVER (4) covered ground last start when finishing 2.7 lengths of the winner in 6th in 1100m Gatton 0-58 Hcp. Three starts back started right in the market when finishing second in this grade at this track over 1000m. A repeat of that has him right in the mix here. GALLERY MASTER (15) does not win often but was only beaten just over a length two starts ago at the Sunshine Coast in 1000m C1 after leading. Could show up in this grade.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Torque Bossanova.
