Lack of early speed means Firestorm could find the lead. FIRESTORM (7) has switched yards since finishing second a month ago over 1000m at Monbetsu. Plenty to like about his prospects. CROWN MAKANA (10) turned in a decent effort last start to finish third over 1200m at Monbetsu. Looks well placed so expect another big run. RAMBUTAN (8) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1500m at Nagoya, crossing the line in tenth. This doesn't look as hard so he is set to turn things around. FER A CHEVAL (2) has not won for a long while. Last raced on November 13 when beaten 4.5 lengths into sixth at Monbetsu over 1000m. In the right race and should be competitive.
