A few on-pacers lining up so it should be keenly contested. Good little contest to start the day. I AM CARROT (3) bounced off his good first-up second, with a commanding on-pace victory over 1350m at Wyong. Held in high regard by the stable and can go on with it here from the low draw. PENTAGON (2) El Roca gelding who made his Australian debut with a slick on-speed performance when saluting from the wide gate over 1300m at this track. Shapes as the main danger from the good gate and can go on with it this time in. SO LONG FAREWELL (1) was unwanted in betting on resumption before surging late with the 60kg for a narrow second over 1300m at Wyong. Proven second-up and he gets a better set-up today. Sure to be thereabouts. FAST TRACK (4) indicated a win was imminent when he gripped on late to secure second over 1350m at Wyong. Looking for this trip and further now and stays in the mix. ROMAN FORUM (5) finds an easier contest fourth-up and gives the impression she will appreciate this trip. SUGGESTED PLAY: I Am Carrot and Pentagon can fight it out.
