Poised should lead at a slick tempo. SMART AND MIGHTY (1) comes here third-up after getting into what ended up being a strong race here 22 days ago. His runs have been spaced throughout his career thus far and he has shown talent. Kennedy claims 3kg today and with the aid of an inside draw, he can land the knockout blow. FAERIE (5) led at Mornington over 1200m last start and stuck on well, finishing only 1.7L off the winner. This looks an easier race on paper and McDougall is a good booking. Third-up now and looks set to peak in this suitable assignment. POISED (8) didn't fire a shot first-up at Pakenham and has been back to the jumpouts since where she got the job done.
