Keen battle for the lead with Dark Lager, Santastico and Girls Night in advance of Lady Dumont and El Paso Citie. SANTASTICO (2) warmed up nicely late when resuming in town, ending up 2.4L off the winner over. That looks to set him up nicely for the campaign ahead and this looks a brilliant race for him second-up. Opperman takes the ride now and from a good draw, he looks the one to beat. EISHAA (3) resumes bringing solid Victorian form for the Preusker camp. Raises questions about placement here, but if back in top order she can feature. Stablemate LONGTIMEDREAMING (4) offers a similar profile and, if sound in return, should also be very competitive. YOURAWAY (10) was a barnstorming winner fresh but failed to follow up last time. Kept fresh, he can rebound sharply. SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Santastico.
