The pace looks very strong with plenty of speed engaged. BADDELEYTE (8) is a progressive galloper who is first-up since finishing seventh over 1800m at Kokura three months ago. Has two wins to his name when fresh from a spell. Unbeaten at course and distance. Looks hard to beat while fresh. LADY VALUE (1) saluted when resuming last start at Chukyo over this distance after she was prominent at the bend. Has a very good record over today's journey with three wins from five starts. Looks the leader and will take catching again. CYCNUS (6) hasn't raced since finishing 1.2 lengths away in fifth over 2000m at Fukushima on June 28. Has won fresh and won only try here. Among the leading players. ICE GREEN (3) was unplaced two runs back when fresh from a spell then again missed the frame last start over 2000m at Sapporo but was beaten only a length into fourth. Draws much better this time. No surprise to see him in the mix.
