Expecting Valley Prince to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. ALTAR BOY (2) is an honest type who impressed last time scoring by 2.5L over 1400m at this track. Has won 2/3 here over a mile and has the inside gate and handy 2kg claim. Tough to beat. KIEFFER (4) is a threat. Placed second behind the above seeking the hat-trick and hit the line hard from back in the field. Stepping back up to the mile won't be an issue and he gets in better at the weights. VALLEY PRINCE (6) found one much too good last time as favourite and was better leading and placing over this distance the one prior. Maps well and the 3kg claim brings him into it. FLYING START (3) placed well beaten behind Alter Boy, but he got a long way back and can get closer with better luck. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sticking with Altar Boy.
