Reasonable tempo with Ecoro Athena probably leading but a few others should keep her honest. HERMANITO (9) rarely wins but ran a solid third over this track and trip last time, staying prominent at the bend and finishing strongly. His best figures are competitive and he should be in the mix again. ALA MOANA (1) makes his debut for the Yoshihiro Iida yard after finishing tenth over this journey at Hanshin Dirt three-and-a-half weeks ago. Could be a factor. KOHILO (2) returned from a break five-and-a-half weeks ago, pressing the pace before fading to sixth over 1400m at Chukyo Dirt. Well drawn in this easier grade and expected to challenge. SUSPENSE QUEEN (8) showed early zip and led for much of her last race before fading. Could sneak into the finish.
