Looking for El James, Wise Legend and Following Sea to press forward and set a solid tempo. Tough finish. RICK'S CAFE (2) has been racing against some better company, second in the Pinker Pinker Plate two back before a sound effort at Moonee Valley. Back in grade again here and should prove hard to hold out. MORNINGTON PIER (7) struggled in a much stronger race at Moonee Valley last time but had been racing very well prior with three consecutive minor placings. Drawn to get back but should be charging late. DUNBELIEVIN' (5) was okay fresh at Geelong in a strong BM70 when beaten under four lengths. Fitter for that and can run a race at odds. MERCANTE (9) finished last of six fresh at Kilmore but was only beaten three lengths and will be fitter for the rise in trip. His best form is good enough for this. TISHMAN (4) next best. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Rick's Cafe.
