From wide gates Dante Alighieri, Anarchy and West Germany may have no option but to press on which will set up a strong tempo. SAXINOUE (7) was well bet to win first-up but looked short of a run. His heavy track form prior reads well and he will be sharper with the first-time blinkers applied. In good hands and can win with average luck. Stablemate CALVARY (9) resumed with a heavy track Maiden win and was slow to recover at Ipswich following that. He's back after 14 days and will also be fitter. Bayliss is on replacing the 3kg apprentice and the inside gate is there to use. WESTOAK (8) brings strong form from the back of his previous campaign. He's trialled well and will push forward. He's also a chance. DARKLEY (4) resumes and Mallyon sticks from a tidy trial placing. He's good enough but has been off the scene for 474 days and that makes it an ask. The betting will be key.
