Rates well as a leading contender. KINDRED HEART (2) turned in a sound effort last time but found a couple better at Turffontein Inside over 1000m. That run should have her rock-hard fit now. Has a win and two minor placings at this journey from four starts and is a key runner. KING OF VENUS (3) made it back-to-back wins when successful last start over 1000m at this track, getting home by a neck. Winning rider Calvin Habib retains the mount. Finds a suitable race and can build on recent success. BASINGSTOKE (6) brings the right form to this race after taking out a 1000m contest at Turffontein Inside last time out. Can go back-to-back.
