Catani Gardens to take the lead and control the tempo. CATANI GARDENS (10) is a sparingly raced type coming off a solid win at Ballarat in slightly easier company. He did win his maiden over this route and has upside. SUPERSTOCK (8) is consistent, winning well enough at Ballarat by half a length. Only needs to hold that form to be in the finish again. CAPTAIN ELECTRIC (14) has shown good promise and looks well placed kicking off over 2000m. Should be prominent from the outset and has to be included in the main hopes. MATHEW (2) returned in great order at Flemington and suspect he can only improve further second up. Big threat. SUGGESTED PLAY: Catani Gardens to win.
