A solid tempo on the cards with Mana Moana taking charge. HEAVY KYU (7) won his maiden over this course and distance last start, getting the verdict by half a length. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Shaping up nicely and a bold showing is expected. TOSEN ASHLEY (12) resumes from a ten weeks spell and looked close to a win before the break, starting favourite and finishing second at this track. Has a tricky gate to overcome. Hard to beat if back in good order as anticipated. KURINO LEGACY (5) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1400m at this track, beaten 1.5 lengths into fourth. Likely improver with strong prospects. CONTI AFTERNOON (6) made progress last time out, finishing 4.5 lengths from the winner in third over 1400m at this track. Looks to be in the right race so another solid effort is on the cards.
