Without a great deal of early pace evident Spills may lead the way over Resurrected. SPILLS (7) has been racing well without winning. Tackled a Class 3 over 1650m at Beaudesert last start where he boxed on well to be beaten just over two lengths. Can roll forward from an awkward draw and should be in the finish in an even contest. CARDSHARP (5) raced wide so his poor result at Inverell last time out can be overlooked. Hasn't featured for a while but the Mayfield-Smith stable press on deep into the campaign so he probably has more to offer. RESURRECTED (2) last appeared a month ago when he won a similar race to this here under 59.5kgs. Big ask under 2kgs more but he is going too well to dismiss. Stablemate CALVARY (3) wasn't suited first-up at the Sunshine Coast. Needs this trip and can improve sharply. SUGGESTED PLAY: Spills each-way in a difficult affair.
