Expecting Khant Fail to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. THIEM (6) travelled in a rearwards position then picked up fairly well in the straight and finished 1.3 lengths away in fourth last time out over 1200m at Grafton two-and-a-half weeks ago. Steps up in journey today and rates a solid winning chance. KNOWITALL FRANK (1) finished a length away from the winner last time at Goondiwindi and drops in the weights. Rates one of the contenders despite the awkward draw. FLYING CELICA (5) returned from a spell three-and-a-half weeks ago when she was beaten 5.5 lengths into fifth over 1350m at Ipswich. Strips fitter so expect a better run this time. I AM PIETRA (9) got off the mark over 1200m at Goondiwindi last start, scoring by a nose. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement.
