It's likely to be tactical given scant early speed. MOND SPIEGEL (5) missed the placings when resuming two runs back then was always well out of his ground last start when 14th over 2000m at Fukushima. Has the talent to take this out in an easier assignment. POD SHANK (8) has scored at his last three starts, most recently by 5 lengths over 1200m at this track as favourite. That continued the very strong form this campaign, with three wins from four starts. Big chance once again. SKOLEBROD (2) finished out of the money two starts back then was fourth in a 1500m contest at this track three weeks ago after being in the firing line on the corner. Likely improver with strong prospects. YAGIRI PEARL (7) finished 5 lengths away in seventh at her last appearance over 1200m at this track on August 3. Among the better chances in what looks a nice race.
