The engagement of Ryo Takamatsu is a positive move. Meeting a deeper field this time but he is good enough to play a major role. YAMANIN LIRIO (1) was far from disgraced when second last start over 1400m at this track, beaten 2.5 lengths. That followed a win at this track the start prior. Stepping up a level this time but on her best form she is capable of testing her rivals. MIRAIENO SHINGEKI (4) progressed nicely last time out to finish just 2 lengths from the winner in third over 1600m at this track. No surprise to see him in contention.
