Genuine tempo with the speedy Union leading the way. UNION (5) eased in betting on resumption and ran accordingly with a tiring third over 1000m at Kembla Grange. Can take control early and prove hard to get past. MAYWEATHER (1) resumes for his second prep. Was stirred up before the race and ran accordingly with a dismal last over 1200m at Newcastle on October 19, 2024. Fitted with the two trials and gelded over the break. Sharp improver. LATEST FLAME (8) is a Savabeel filly from the stakes-winner Melt on debut for the Widdup stable. Wasn't knocked about in the two trials and will be strong late. LEGASELLI (9) resumes. Raced without luck in Group company, including her last start twelfth in the G3 Baillieu over 1400m at Rosehill last March. Two good trials should have her forward enough for this.
