COOL MUSIC (16) tracked the leading division then let down nicely but found one better last start over the mile at Doomben. Has won five races and all have come at today's trip. Beautifully drawn and with the light weight will prove extremely hard to hold out. MEAN APPROACH (2) is flying this prep with wins at both appearances, the latest over 1200m here when he had to dig deep to just hang on. Ran a couple of decent races at the end of last prep at or around today's trip. Big chance but the last 50m is the key. WRIGLEY FIELD (14) came wide and made up a stack of ground to finish fourth recently over this distance at the Gold Coast. Racing well since coming to the Jack Bruce stable and should be peaking today. LA COMETA (13) returned to form last start off a 60-day let-up, coming from well back to be beaten under a length over 1200m at Doomben. Makes plenty of appeal out to 1400m on a bigger track. The in-form GAMBINO (11) must be respected but the wide alley is a concern. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Cool Music.
