Expecting Beast Mode to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sharp trip. BEAST MODE (1) proven sprinter who will find this more to his liking third-up. Was a month between runs when he went out quickly before folding up in the straight to finish last in the G3 Sir John Monash Stakes over 1100m at Caulfield. Back in trip and grade and anywhere near his best could win this. PRIMA BELLA (7) underrated mare who was sent south with a determined on-pace win over 1000m at Flemington in BM78 class. Gets in light with the 3kg claim and can keep the winning momentum going. ZOURIPPER (11) won well over this trip three-back here and has drawn out at his last two starts. Can race closer from the inside gate and get the job done on the backup. DUROVA (6) has gone to a new level this campaign with the three wins from her last four starts. Excellent winner of the Kirby last start at Grafton and deserves her chance here. SOUTH OF INDIA (3) in need of the run first-up and can make sharp improvement here. SUGGESTED PLAY: Beast Mode and Prima Bella can fight it out.
