Expecting Possess to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. WAY OUT WEST (5) has thrived since being bought out of the North Island, and since joining the in-form Steph Faulkner stable, she has win 3 of her 4 starts, including her last start just over 5 weeks ago at Ashburton. There is always a query around racing on this track for the first time, but the hat-trick still beckons. POSSESS (6) fought on gamely for fifth here off a wide draw last week, and dropping back from 1800m to 1600m will do him no harm. He was sent out as the favourite that day, and from a superior gate, he can set the record straight, so follow your money. MININJAGIRL (7) was well backed when winning her penultimate start here and then proved that was no fluke when winning again at big odds at Oamaru nearly 3 weeks ago. She only needs some luck to be right in the finish again. PERSONA (8) won fresh up, so include. SUGGESTED PLAY: Possess each way.
