Kirari Maillard is expected to lead at a keen tempo. KIRARI MAILLARD (7) has been kept fresh since an all-the-way win over 1000m at Monbetsu. Can push forward again here and is a leading contender. GRESSONEY (9) was popular in betting last time out but after being in contention on the turn disappointed in finishing fifth over 1200m at Funabashi, beaten 10 lengths. This offers him a great chance of breaking through. SEIUN PIONEER (1) is a seven-start maiden who resumed from a spell last start and was beaten 52 lengths when 11th over 1500m at this track. Bold showing expected with added fitness this time. KIMINI MEROMERO (3) was unplaced two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 800m at Urawa, beaten 5 lengths into sixth. Finds a nice race and can bounce back.
