NOLAN (2) has placed four of five when tackling this track and trip, and a 3kg claim lightens the load nicely — right in contention on best figures. NORTHERNONTAP (12) loves racing at this course and distance and was narrowly run down by THE KAMIKAZE last start after making solid headway from midfield; cherry-ripe fit now, he rates right among the leading hopes. THEE CREEK (10) turned his last-of-nine effort into a narrow second at Rockhampton last start, a clear step forward, and with rider Silvera Olivera sticking, he remains right in the mix. THE KAMIKAZE (4), fresh from that head-margin win over Northernontap, was competitive again for fourth at Cairns most recently and rates the best of the rest in an open affair.
