Everybody Rise and Invahir possess good early speed. Very difficult race to line up. SHAKO (5) stalked the leading division then went home well and was beaten under a length when resuming over this course and distance in a midweek BM78 last start. Has a fine second-up record of two wins and two placings from four runs. Poorly drawn but otherwise tough to fault. EVERYBODY RISE (8) switched to the Jack Bruce stable this prep as a maiden and has since won four from four, the latest a Class 4 over 1100m at Ipswich. Goes fast and with the help of the inside gate is going to prove tough to catch. MERCIAN (12) closed well to get up for second when fresh from a spell over this track and distance recently. Lightly raced six-year-old who excels at this trip. INVAHIR (1) is a prolific winner on the country circuit, chalking up another success last start at Toowoomba over 1110m. Hard to rule out. SUGGESTED PLAY: Shako each-way.
