Moderate pace from Lyn's Star taking it up with Iraychoux and Electric Bec on her back. This is a huge drop in class for WAR MATTERS (2) who ran an excellent race at $101 in a BM66+ at Ascot when last seen, making good ground from back in the field to be beaten 1.75 lengths. A Class 1 here looks exceptional placement having run well in numerous stronger affairs. IRAYCHOUX (1) proved too strong for ELECTRIC BEC (3) when they clashed here on December 18. Iraychoux started $3.40 there and won by just under a length. Electric Bec has since won her maiden too and both have claims. LEAD BY EXAMPLE (8) is stuck on 1 win from 29 starts but could sneak a placing while MAXIMUM IMPACT (9) is another stuck on 1 win (from 58) but could give some cheek with 52kg after the claim. SUGGESTED PLAY: War Matters to win.
