Strong tempo assured from Paravane and Sako leading the charge. WHEN STARS ALIGN (4) won easily here fresh up, and then stepped up in company and finished runner-up by a nose at Te Rapa nearly 4 weeks ago. This will be a slightly easier assignment, and he is the one to beat. TRISTAR (1) was third when finishing 2 lengths behind the top pick in the same race last time out. She has 2.5kg less to carry here after the claim, and her next win is not far away. PARAVANE (9) has only been lightly tried and won fresh up by 3 lengths at Te Rapa just over 6 weeks ago. She is up in class, down in weight, and ready to take the next step immediately. ONEIRA (6) has not won for some time, but is heading in the right direction with her form, finishing runner-up at Trentham last time out. She is just as good racing in a clockwise direction, and can go one better here. SUGGESTED PLAY: When Stars Align can win this.
