Expecting Barnum to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sharp trip. BARNUM (4) won a trial prior to being a touch disappointing on debut at Ellerslie 4 weeks ago when finishing seventh. He will be better for the experience, and is expected to be a quick improver. Hard to beat. CURZON PARK (2) has looked good on occasions, but has also let the team down when more has been expected. He led up and faded late at Tauranga nearly 8 weeks ago, and his freshen up would have done him no harm. Each way. BATTLE TYCOON (1) showed talent as a juvenile and will be a lot stronger this year. He won a recent Avondale very easily, and he will be ready to rumble fresh up. Can win. KAKASISISI (7) ran on strongly for fourth on debut and will appreciate an extra 150m to travel here. Warren Kennedy sticks with him, and so do we. SUGGESTED PLAY: Barnum each way.
